![]() Dear Dreamers, It's finally happening. This week I was able to promote my first, upcoming book "The Dream Launcher's Devotional," at the Los Angeles Times Festival of Books at USC. It was a great experience to just get out there, meet new people, and do something different. Every step forward opens my eyes to new possibilities and helps me to dream bigger. I'm so excited for this new journey in my life. I feel that pushing myself outside of my comfort zone has helped me to grow so much. Where fear and insecurity would normally cause things to move at a glacial pace, I find myself boldly moving forward into new and exciting territory. The Dream Launcher's Devotional is a book that I wrote for people who have a goal and want to follow God's path for making their dream a reality. If you have a dream that you need help getting started, need motivation to restart, or just need encouragement to keep moving forward, then this book is for you. It's for you and anyone you know in similar situations. We all have something that we would like to see accomplished. Whether it's a small thing or a big thing, you deserve to see it happen. Look for "The Dream Launcher's Devotional," coming out in May 2019. Big thanks to Nic Nelson of Word Smith Writing Coaches for helping me to make this dream a reality. You were one of my Barnabas's. I couldn't have done it without you. Also, if any of you reading this post is interested in writing a book or if you need help with writing in general (term papers, dissertations, writing improvement, etc.) please check out wordsmithwritingcoaches.com/. I encourage you to move forward with your dream. Nic really works well with you and I would not promote their business if they didn't. You can establish a payment plan and move as fast or as slow as you want. He also does a writing group called SLAKE for people who are looking to get feedback on their writing within a community of other writers. I'm so excited about the work I was able to accomplish working with Nic. So, I thought that I would share this info with you all. If you do decide to contact them please ask for Nic and let him know that Lakisha Baker sent you. The initial consultation is FREE so if you have something that you're working on, take it with you and please come back to my page and share your experience. We're going places, Lakisha B. ![]() The day is finally here, the launching of The Spirit Led Dreamer Blog. This is my first blog post and it is meant to be short, sweet and to the point. The process of doing this, while not being tech savvy, was not the easiest thing to accomplish, but I'm learning that the more I experiment with it, the easier it gets. My first advice to all of you who are in the process of making things happen is to applaud yourself for the small accomplishments along the way. Be proud of yourself and celebrate you!!! In life, I realize that it is hard to achieve anything without people in your corner encouraging you as you go. I am grateful for the people that God has generously placed in my life to make this blog happen and push my dreams forward. I am thankful for all of my supportive friends and family who have kept me motivated, especially my husband Anthony, my children, Jalissa, Zha' Shawn, and Xavier and my mom. I'm grateful to be able to start this blog and encourage you to never give up on your dreams. I count it a blessing to be able to share knowledge with all of you, not just in word, but also through experience. May you find useful information on this site to help you get your dreams off the ground. I'm looking forward to hearing your success stories as I engage the journey with you. Blessings to you all, Lakisha B. |
